Sale of Services and Goods
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of services and goods available on our Site.
The following services are available on our Site: metal polishing and electroplating services, including chrome plating, nickel plating, gold plating, copper plating, zinc plating (gold, silver and black), anodising, pickle treatment, olive drab coating, restoration work and production runs.
The following goods are available on our Site: rare spares and parts, including through our online shop.
The price for services will be quoted and approved by you before work commences. Quotes are based on the information and photos you provide, and may change once we inspect your items in person. If the price changes, we will contact you for approval before continuing. Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. For large jobs or production runs, we may require a deposit before work begins.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all the services and goods that are displayed on our Site at the time you access it. All information, descriptions, or images that we provide about our services and goods are as accurate as possible. However, we are not legally bound by such information, descriptions, or images, as we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all services and goods we provide. You agree to purchase services and goods from our Site at your own risk.
We reserve the right to modify, reject or cancel your order whenever it becomes necessary. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor your payment instrument to verify receipt of any refund.
Items Supplied for Work
All items you bring or send to A.A. Vinney’s are documented and photographed on a job sheet when they arrive.
The final result of polishing and plating depends on the condition of the item supplied. Plating does not hide pitting, scratches, dents or other surface defects, and existing damage, corrosion, previous repairs, hidden cracks or thin metal may affect the finish or be revealed during stripping and preparation. Where we identify an issue that affects the work, we will contact you before proceeding.
Please remove rubbers, seals, clips, fittings and any non-metal components before supplying items, unless otherwise agreed.
Completed items must be collected, or freight arranged, within [30] days of us notifying you that the work is complete. We may charge a storage fee for items left uncollected after this time.
Freight
We freight Australia-wide. Freight costs are quoted separately and are payable by you unless otherwise agreed. Risk in items passes to the freight carrier once items are dispatched. We recommend you insure valuable items in transit. Please package items securely when sending them to us.
Third Party Goods and Services
Our Site may offer goods and services from third parties, including through third-party marketplaces such as eBay. We cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of goods and services made available by third parties on our Site. Purchases made through a third-party marketplace are also subject to that marketplace’s terms and conditions.
Payments
We accept the following payment methods on our Site: [Credit Card, Debit, Bank Transfer].
When you provide us with your payment information, you authorise our use of and access to the payment instrument you have chosen to use. By providing us with your payment information, you authorise us to charge the amount due to this payment instrument.
If we believe your payment has violated any law or these Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to cancel or reverse your transaction.
Consumer Protection Law
Where the Australian Consumer Law, Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, or any other consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms and Conditions will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation. These Terms and Conditions will be read subject to the mandatory provisions of that legislation. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and that legislation, the mandatory provisions of the legislation will apply.
